“The Eucharist is the Sacrament of Love; It signifies Love, It produces love.
The Eucharist is the consummation of the whole spiritual life.”
St. Thomas Aquinas
The Eucharist is not only a Mystery to be believed and celebrated, it is also a Mystery to be lived. By our life of union with Jesus Christ, we bring nourishment and joy to those around us. We live a Eucharistic life by pouring ourselves out for others, by leading them to the Bread of Life and the Living Water.
Each Mass concludes with the command that we “go” and share what we received. Throughout the Year of the Real Presence, the Diocese of Allentown will conduct a “Feed My Sheep: Formation for Mission” series that will equip faithful with the means to respond to Jesus’ command to Peter to “Feed My sheep” and to respond to the Great Commission, “Go, make disciples of all nations” (Mt. 28:19).
